Personal Information

Since 2005, I am Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the French Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) of Rouen, France, and Researcher at CORIA Lab, where I am leading a team of PhDs, Post-docs and Masters/Engineers trainees (constantly 3 to 7 people under my supervision).
My main research interests deal with modeling, simulation and analysis of turbulent reactive flows, pre-mixed flame modelling, subsonic & supersonic reactive compressible flow, Low Mach approximation, multi-phase flows, complex chemical kinetics modelling, standard and non-standard numerical methods, high performance scientific computing.
Present or recent applications are combustive flows at the centimetric scale, combustion chamber shape optimization for distributed thermoelectric power generation, stratified combustion in Internal Combustion Engines (EGR/IGR), pollutant emissions in aircraft engines, flame/wall interaction and wall heat transfer (in the ICE context), ultra-wet combustion, modelling of expanding turbulent flames, asymptotic analysis of flame-balls & solid thin-film interface instabilities, flame/acoustics interaction, percolation modelling for front propagation.
